ISOC risponde a OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) che la ha invitata a coordinare la partecipazione della comunità tecnica, alla Conferenza Ministeriale di Seul nel 2008 ("The Future of the Internet Economy") ed invita i chapters ad essere proattivi.

Your valuable input is requested.
ISOC has been invited by the OECD to co-ordinate the technical community's participation in the preparatory process of the 2008 Ministerial Conference, "The Future of the Internet Economy" which will take place in Seoul, South Korea 17-18 June 2008. ISOC will also be organising the "Technical Communities Forum" that will be held in Seoul the day before the conference. This Forum will be an opportunity for the Technical Community to stress issues of importance within the three themes that will be discussed by the Ministers: creativity, confidence and convergence.
This is an invitation to collaborate with the Policy team to help shape the agenda for the Ministerial's conference and to contribute to decisions on how to organise and conduct the Technical Community forum.

You are invited to participate in the following ways:
1) Feedback on the draft Agenda
You are invited to provide comments and feedback on the content and structure of the attached draft agenda at the end of this mail for the Ministerial conference. Please email feedback to Constance Bommelaer at .
2) Conference call
You are invited to participate in a Chapter's conference to call to:
a) Share feedback received on the draft agenda and discuss any additional input;
b) Discuss the preliminary structure of the Technical Committee Forum meeting and speaking opportunities;
c) Solicit additional input from Chapter delegates on the meeting content/structure
d) Gather interest in participation opportunities in the Technical Community Forum meeting (speaking slots, etc.)
To accommodate the differences in times around the globe, there will be two conference calls:
a) Call 1 - Thursday September 27th UTC 10.30
b) Call 2 - Thursday September 27th UTC 21.00
Constance will chair the call. If you would like to participate in a conference call, please email me off list and indicate which call you will participate in. Details of how to join the conference call will be sent out nearer the call date to those participating.
